Recuriting by Blogging.

Business's across the country are searching for ways to cut back on "in house" costs and still effectively operate. Recruitment and advertisement for available positions and/or promotions has never been so easy, cost effective, and specific as it can be now. Take for example a dating service website such as eHarmony. They have members of there website who fill out detailed profiles of themselves and submit them for viewing on the website. The site works to find matches between members based on specific information. Why can't a business and potential employees share a similar sight the generate similar results?

Problem:

The recruiting process takes too much time effort and money. With a site such as this, business can post a video or short blog specifically outlining who/what they are looking for in an applicant in hardly any time at all.

Idea Generation:

This one hit me when i realized how accessible the Internet is to almost every American. Also, with cutting costs during tough fiscal times, this is a great way to get more bang for you buck. It is so easy and affordable why wouldn't someone do it?

Idea Screening:

There are similar sights out there but not one that functions as a dating service website. This could even be used as advertisement for contractors, and other small service oriented businesses. This doesn't have to just be for large firms and college grads.

Business Analysis:

The hardest part of this would be to actually advertise the website itself to start attracting members. However, once the word is spread the sight would certainly boom. It could be like the craigslist of the the business world. I'm sure there could be a demand generated from a website offering such specific services.

Development:

Of course creating a site that operates smoothly and efficiently is not an easy task, but once it is completed, up keep is minimal. As i previously stated, spreading awareness of the website itself would be the hard part.

Test Marketing:

First i would get my name out there in the unemployment office, and attempt to market it towards jobs that hire seasonally. Since the most frequently hire, and more of a younger population take seasonal positions, i feel like that would be a good starting point.

Keeping regional searches on the sight (much like craigslist does) is a good way to keep it in communities all around the country. Keeping in touch with small business would be one of the main goals the website would strive to keep. Helping spread the word effectively and cost efficient for small business and contractors would be more highly regarded then keeping large firms as the only clientele.
